Peace Out 2013... Hello 2014

Happy New Years! Ok so i'm not going to sit here and apologize for not posting at all during 2013 and i'm certainly not going to promise i'll be better in 2014, because I don't know if i will! Nevertheless, I do feel like I should comment on this past year, because quite a bit has happened:) So 2013.... where do I begin? Lets start with me turning 16! Its crazy but I am currently 100% dateable, and i'll soon have my license, all thanks to my big 16th birthday. Shortly after turning 16, I finished out my sophomore year at Mesa High. I'm not going to lie, my sophomore year was rough, but i'm grateful for the learning experience. Then I had Girls Camp and I had the opportunity to bring my non-member friend, Valencia, with me. This specific year at camp really had an impact on me. I think it was a real growing experience for me, and a lot of it had to do with the girls. It was my first year as a YCL and I absolutely loved it! Anyways, lets just skip ahead to my junior year! I decided not to play basketball anymore, and I really miss it but it was definitely the right decision for me. On the other hand, I decided to play badminton! Surprisingly it was insanely fun! I loved my teammates and the experience as a whole. I actually had a pretty good season. I went undefeated in my singles matches and I only lost two doubles matches the whole season! Oh and since I'm currently 16, I got to go to Homecoming this year. My date was Logan Millett and we had a great night! Homecoming week was epic.... enough said. Anyways, 2013 was a year to remember and i'm truly thankful for all the experiences it brought!!

Well one year is over and another one is beginning! My New Years resolutions are no more soda, to run on the treadmill at least 4 times a week, and to get my Young Women's medallion. I have a few other resolutions but I really don't feel like posting them. Anyways, I think 2014 is going to be whatever i make it to be. So i'm going to make sure that 2014 is, without a doubt, mind-blowing. Peace out 2013... Hello 2014!

   Ok I know I've been terrible at posting, but hey what else is new. So I am now an official sophomore!!!!:) I am loving being back at my beautiful Mesa High! But unfortunately I took all weighted classes this year. So I am swamped with homework. Between homework and workouts and personal progress and mutual and school and church and basketball and my practically non-existent social life, I have no time to just relax. Anyways homecoming week starts tomorrow!!!!!!!!! I absolutely adore homecoming week.... it makes me so insanely happy. There's spirit week stuff going on and the parade and the carnival and I'm help making the float and the assembly and the game that night and it's a half day on Friday! And of course there's always the dance on Saturday, but i can't go (thank-you mom and dad). Anyways I believe it's time for me to post Happy List #3, so here it is.

Summer Awesomeness

   Hola everyone:) Well this summer so far has been pretty good. I just spent a lot of time in Eagar with my big sis Amber. But before I headed to Eagar, I had basketball camp and weight training. It was fun but super exhausting!!! I was always extremely tired, but it was totally and completely worth it! I just wish that i could have finished it out, because sadly i ended up fracturing my wrist during basketball! I was so sad because then I couldn't play sports for the rest of the summer and without sports i basically have no life:( But I did get my cast off a week ago! I'm so glad to have my hand back! Anyways, after camp I went up to Eagar and spent some time with the family. I rode some horses and some quads and ate the best bean and cheese burro of my entire life and just chilled with those dorks that i call family :) Then the 4th of July rolled around and it was a ton of fun, as always. Its probably one of my favorite holidays and ever year it reminds me how lucky i am to live in this beautiful country where brave men and women fight for all of our freedoms and keep us  safe. We are truly blessed. Well that about sums up my summer so far. So before i sign off, i have to admit that i'm totally one of those dorks whose always finding motivational quotes. And I found one the other day that i thought was pretty tight. So I'm going to share it with you:)

Be Loyal to the Royal within You

    I just got home from GIRLS CAMP! I was a 4th year this year and we were up at Taylor Ranch. It was so much fun, and our theme was 'Be Loyal to the Royal within You'. So for the 4th year hike we went up to Horton Springs, and it was about an 8 mile hike. Me and Shelbie basically led the entire hike. We got to the top 20min before anyone else and we got to the bottom 1st as well. Then we had the opportunity to go back and help girls with their packs. I'm not going to lie, I was pretty proud of the both of us. Once we actually got there, it was really pretty, especially the little creek that was running through our camp. Our actual girls camp was a little strange this year. We didn't have skit night, and we had shorter programs so it was kinda weird. Don't get me wrong, it was still way fun, just weird. I loved my YCL's this year! My YCL's were Shayley Shaver and Christal Estes and i had an absolute blast with them. They're way cool. Anyways Girls Camp was awesome, as always. I can't wait to be a YCL next year! Well I've got stuff to do, so i'll talk to ya'll later! Bye Bye:)

Summer Lovin

  School is OUT as of today! Summer 2012 is finally here and its going to be the best summer yet. I can just feel it. Since today was the last day of school it was kinda bittersweet because, even though i'm so happy to be out of school, i'm going to miss all my friends over summer. Freshman year was amazing and part of me is sad to see it go. I officially love Mesa High and all of its traditions.I especially love all the students that go there that i'm lucky enough to call my friends. Oddly, I think i'm going to miss my seminary teacher, Bro. Bonham, the most. He moved to Oklahoma so i'm probably never going to see him again but at least i got to have him for my first year of seminary. And seminary was probably my favorite class all year long. I love the gospel so much and seminary has only made me love it even more. And I have Bro. Bonham to thank for that. Anyways, i'm leaving for Girls Camp in 4 days and i'm so excited, especially for the 4th year hike! When I get back I'll have sports camps for about a month and after that i'll just be chillin like villain and partying hard of course! Well it looks like i'm running out of things to say so i'll see ya'll later! Toodles!

Oh dang it looks like i've waited too long in between posts again! Sorry guys=( Anyways, its 2012!!!!! and the world hasn't ended yet, shocking right? Well I know its already April, but i'm telling you my New Years resolution anyways. My New Years resolution, well one of them, is to quit drinking soda. So far i've been really good about the no soda thing. Now in February, my sister, Laxitive, married this guy. This guy's name is Austin Goodman, and as weird as they are together, I'm happy for them. So here they are at the temple, cheezy grins and the whole shabang. 

   

Ok so lately we've been practicing for our 4 stake dance festival, and its been a blast! I love my ward, my friends, my stake, mesa high, my religion and the fact that this dance festival has reminded me of how much i love these things. I can't wait for the performance tomorrow=) I don't know if you guys remember, but like forever ago i said that i would start posting mini happy lists on here so here is mini happy list #2

B-Ball

I'm extremely happy right now! I've officially survived the 1st half of my 1st season of Mesa basketball! Oh ya I probably should've mentioned that I made team in the 1st place. Well it has been an absolute blast! I love this sport so much and my team and coach are pretty cool too. It's just been an amazing season so far. Well this is just one of those short posts....... so I'll talk to y'all later! Adios

Ok so we're going to have a major cramming session starting......... now! Two words: Homecoming week. It was awesome. I'm not even old enough to go the actual homecoming dance and yet it was still awesome! We lost the game but somehow we'll get over it. The game was still awesome because at the game they announced the homecoming king and queen! As Annie Jones' name was read over the speakers, the crowd went absolutely insane! There wasn't a dry eye in those stands because everyone knew they had just witnessed something incredibly special. Call me crazy but I think it was kinda magical. That whole day was just insanely fun! there was the parade and the carnival and the game. And i was with friends the entire time! It was mainly me Johnny and Shelbie and then i got introduced to a guy named Jake! The 4 of us just chilled the entire day. It was pretty sweet. Currently I'm sitting on my bed feeling queasy and gross and listening to Taylor Swift aka one of the most amazing people ever aka my favorite celebrity of all time. Do you know how amazing and talented and inspiring she is? Because up until about a week ago, i had no idea! I love her music and her lyrics and her quirky personality and the way she looks at life and just her in general! She's so down to earth and she acts like a regular person! She doesn't flaunt the whole fame thing. Is it weird that i'm so obsessed? I think it's weird but oh well because it's not like i'm going to end up being some creepy stalker person. So i'm going to continue loving her and her music despite the weirdness! Peace out=)

Addicted

Ok I have an extreme addiction to music! This is a recent discovery and i'm definately not ashamed of it. If you think about it music is so dang amazing! So my favorite genre has to be............... um I have no clue! I don't understand how anyone could ever choose between country and pop and rock and hip hop and those incredible songs that don't really fit into a specific genre. Oh how I love good music!!!! It makes me smile! Well I guess this was just one of those random pointless posts, but I'm kinda in a random and pointless kinda mood. So toodles!

Dear Life,
You are kicking my butt! This whole thing where i only get to sleep at most 5 hours a night is not working for me at all! Also, it would help if you gave me a little less homework at night, because my brain is starting to hurt. I would also greatly appreciate it if these basketball workouts didn't make me feel like my heart is going to pound out of my chest, because trust me they about kill me. Another thing that would really help is if I got a little more time with my friends, because I deeply miss those amazing people and my social life during the week. So Life, I realise that you are supposed to be tough, but it would be extremely nice to have a break from the craziness!

Summer Craziness

Ok so let me fill you in on my hectic summer so far! First of all I went to Girls Camp up at Camp Lo Mia, and it was amazing! I love Girls Camp, especially when I have awesome YCL's like I did this year! Then there was some craziness with the Wallow Fire. That was super scary, and my heart goes out to anyone who lives up there! It's so dang sad to see that beautiful forest burned. On a happier note though, my nephew Brig was baptised!!! I was so happy to be there for him on his special day, and I couldn't be more proud of him. He's an amazing kid and I love him to death!I love this picture of him it's just so dang cute!

I'll admit Brig can be a punk sometimes, but he keeps me on my toes! I love him like the younger brother that i've never had. Congrats Brig! Anyways, after the baptism we all headed up to Eagar for the 4th! It was sooo much fun; mainly because we all bunked at my sister Amber's house. We were packed in there pretty tight, but it was a blast! When everyone decided to head home I chose to stay with Amber and Josh for the rest of the week! I'm so glad they let me stay with them, because i had so much fun just chillin up there! Then when I got home i did a basketball camp for a little bit, and it was actually pretty awesome! Well i guess that's about it for the summer so far! In a couple days I'm heading up to the Heap Reunion, and i'll post when I get back. TOODLES!!!

Happy List!!!!!

Ok well i know everybody has those moments where it's just like the world isn't fair, but honestly if you think about it life tends to be pretty incredible! There are just so many things that make me so insanely happy, and i need to remember those things more often. So i've decided to list a couple things that make me happy from time to time. So here i go.

1) When a friend tells you something that you really needed to hear

2) Old People ( they are just so dang cute!!!)

3) Random phone calls/txts from someone you haven't talked to in a while

4) Jeans ( they're the best thing ever)

5) Guy friends and the fact they're some of the most amazing people ever

6) That moment of fear when you're in the air thinking that you over jumped the trampoline

7) When your friends bring you cookies or brownies or something thats equally delicious

8) Laughing at an inside joke and everyone else in the room is looking at you like you're crazy

9) Cowboys ( you gotta love them)

10) When one of you're favorite songs comes on the radio and you belt out every single word because you know you're alone and no one can hear you make an idiot of yourself

CRAZINESS

My family is incredibly insane!!!! Don't get me wrong I love them to death, but i have no doubt that there is nothing normal about them. Over Easter my nieces and nephew each got a bouncy ball in their Easter basket. Then all the grown men in my family decided to have a bouncy ball war across the staircase. I mean who else does that??? I honestly got hit in the head by a bouncy ball like ten times! It actually really hurt, but all is forgiven. Then i had to give a talk recently in sacrament meeting, and of course my siblings showed up and dedicated their time to making me laugh while i was up there. Oh the joys of being the youngest! I must say it's pretty entertaining to watch my older siblings tear up because on "The Office" Michael left haha!!! So I guess being the youngest in an insane family isn't all bad. But i can definately guarentee you that my family is beyond crazy!!!!!

Love My Friends!!!!!

Ok today started out kind of crappy, because well you know the life of a teenager equals dramatic and insane. But then i spent some time talking to my amazing friends and i feel like one of the luckiest people in the world. My friends just totally turned my whole day around. They are truely awesome. They made me laugh so hard, and they talked to me about things i really needed to talk about. All in all, today was a great day. So thank you friends of mine!!!

Catch Up Day

OK OK I know I haven't updated in a while but I declare today Catch Up Day, and that means i will fill you in on all that has happened in my life since my last post. First of all my sister Brandi married Aaron Collins on October 21st. Aaron is awesome, and super fun. You can't help but love the guy. Then I had one of the best Thankgings ever. We played football, went rock climbing, played basketball, played hide-and-go-seek in the dark, rode quads, watched Tangled, and had one of the best thanksgiving diners in history. Next in my life I tryed out for Mesa Club Volleyball, and I made it. It's pretty fun. Then along came Christmas. It was kind of wierd with no little kids around but still awesome. I got a cellphone, and it was probably one of the most life changing presents I have ever gotten. New Years came next, and my resolution is to be a more positive person. I chose that because it's easy to focus on the bad in your life, but if you do that you'll end up bitter and annoying. Life is just so much better when you get excited about the little things. Anyways, I just have a feeling that 2011 is going to be an amazing year. After that our Young Womens went up to the Bowman's cabin for a little Young Women's retreat. To be honest, I had a blast just being up there. I freakin love my ward. Now to break the good moment streak, school started back up. Ever since we got back to school they've been talking to us about our futures and stuff. It's kinda stressing me out but I'll survive. The Merrills then invited me to go up with them to a cabin up in forest lakes. It was loads of fun getting to play in the snow. So that pretty much concludes my Catch Up Day. Right now I'm just sitting at home (sick) appreciating all those little moments that make you smile everyday. Those moments make my life pretty freakin amazing. So all I have to say now is bring it on 2011. BRING IT ON!!!!!!

Emmy is 8!!!

I know i've been really bad about posting but I promise to get better. Starting right now. Anyway Emmy (my oldest niece) just turned eight and got baptised. WOW that's so wierd to me. She's getting so big so fast. She's awesome though. She's loving, funny, and super smart. I'm so glad I got to be there for her on her special day.

Emmy is an amazing person. I love her to death. I'm so glad we have her in this family, It just wouldn't feel right without her. She is growing up into a beautiful girl. SO stinkin fast too. She's like the little sister i never had. And I'm so proud of her and her decision to be baptised.

SORRY! SORRY!

I am so sorry for not posting. It's been so crazy around here lately. Plus almost every time I try and get on blogspot the computer freezes. Anyways my brother Barry just got married on thursday. I'm still adjusting to the fact. It's pretty insane, but my new sister-in-law Karissa is awesome I love her to death. My whole family does. They are so cute together. Sometimes it gets a little gross, but still cute. Anyways i was going to put some pictures of them up, but I'm having some trouble with uploading them.

So my cousins came for like two days. The 2nd oldest in there family lives down here. It's so fun when they come. So we've just been hanging out and having fun.

My sister Amber invited me to her house for the week, and on Thursday we're heading up to Eagar for the 4th. So far it's been really fun. We've gone swimming, we've watched movies, we've played with blocks, and a ton of other stuff. It's really just fun to hang out with them. My neices and nephew are so funny. I love them to death.
